Animal feeding operations in the Spring Creek watershed had resulted in high concentrations of nutrients, coliform bacteria contamination and low dissolved oxygen. Restoration of banks and removing runoff from animal operations has restored the water quality of this small stream.

The Little Bear River had high total phosphorus levels, which threatened downstream reservoirs and the local fisheries. Restoration of grazing areas and river banks has restored the upper segment of the river. EPA link
