Utah's Nonpoint Source (NPS) program is focused on improving the water quality of impaired waterbodies through a voluntary and incentive based approach. The State of Utah's NPS program was established in 1990. It is administered jointly by the Utah Division of Water Quality (UDWQ) and Utah Department of Agriculture and Foods (UDAF). The program succeeds through the combined efforts of many private, state and federal partners.
